Enjoy a Walking Holiday in Langdale
If you’re a hiking enthusiast we recommend the Langdale Pikes walking route. The main path takes you from peak to peak, but is best suited to more experienced walkers. Scafell Pike is England's highest mountain, though it’s not an advisable challenge for the feint hearted! There are plenty of easier routes in the area for those who prefer to take their time with an easy gradient. Whichever path you choose you’ll be able to admire the beautiful Lake District scenery.*
On Your Bike! Cycling in Langdale
If you are planning to bring your bikes with you there are cycling opportunities in this area too. We recommend the Langdale cycle trail, which you can start in Stickle Ghyll. its about an 8 mile route so it’s ideal for more experienced riders. This route will take you through a varied path of gradients where you can enjoy quintessential views of of the Lake District.*

Some tips for searching:
- Busy periods - during busy periods many of our properties only take bookings for seven nights. A short break holiday may not be available, try other dates.
- Changeover days - normal days to start your booking are Fridays and Saturdays (some Sundays). Try your seven night booking on one of those days during busy periods.
