Mere Syke Cottage is situated on the outskirts of Elterwater, it's the middle of three properties set in a secluded part of the Langdale Valley, built in the 1960s. Entrance is into a small hallway with space for coats and boots. The kitchen is fully fitted with dishwasher, fridge freezer, oven and hob. From the hallway, entrance into a large open plan room with dining table with 'Ercol style' table and chairs for 6, taking in a fantastic view of Langdale. A small study area and downstairs w.c. are off this open space. The conservatory is off the dining area and benefits from the great view, access from the conservatory to the patio area with table and seating for 6 people and the back lawn.
The lounge is of a generous size also with stunning views over the garden towards the Langdale Pikes, seating for 6, flat screen tv and dvd player, with wood burning stove to one side.
Upstairs are 3 bedrooms, one king size bedded room with ensuite bathroom with bath and shower over, and the most amazing view of Langdale. The second double bedroom has a standard double bed and the twin room has two single beds and mouthwatering views! Both the double and twin room share large integrated wardrobes and a 'Jack and Jill' shower room.
The back lawn at Mere Syke is shared with the 3 cottages in the row, guests are asked to respect the privacy of the other cottages when using it. The best bit about Mere Syke Cottage is that to the front of the cottages along a short path is another massive grassed area for the private and sole use of Mere Syke Cottage guests, which has the best view of all!
The cottage is a short walk from The Britannia Inn in Elterwater and a mile from Chapel Stile Coop and Brambles Cafe. Parking for two cars.
We want our holiday cottages to be a 'home for home'. All the beds are made up ready for you, towels are included so no need to bring those, and shower mats are also provided. Two tea towels and a set of oven gloves/oven cloth will be in the kitchen along with a starter pack that includes: washing up liquid, kitchen roll, toilet roll, basic cleaning products, a bin bag in each bin and a few dishwasher tabs. This is just to 'start you off'; you will need to buy your own once these have run out.
Four passes to the nearby Langdale Estate leisure facilities which includes a swimming pool and gym.
Fire Pack / Logs available to purchase form the Good Life Office.
