Description

This character terraced cottage is situated at the top of Windermere very close to the train station and transport links and superbly located being just a couple of minutes walk for sampling the bars, restaurants and shops within bustling Windermere town centre and surrounding area.

Entering the property stepping through the vestibule you enter an open plan living dining area with beams, wooden and stone flagged floor and two Chesterfield sofas. From here step up one step into the modern, compact but well-equipped kitchen with induction hob, there is also a washing machine and dishwasher situated in the utility room with a toilet just off the kitchen.

The cottage is laid out over three floors with bedrooms on the first and second floor which all have a TV. In the open plan living area, there is a smart TV and wood burner perfect to enjoy on those chillier evenings. The main bathroom has a bath with shower over and the second bathroom is a compact shower room also on this floor. The bedrooms on the second floor both have sloping ceilings and also each has a tv and make use of the eves for storage. One of the first-floor bedrooms also has a small extra room which is like a dressing room where you will also find comfortable seating and good sized TV, a perfect cosy separate recreational room.

The cottage is ideal for groups of friends or family wishing to get together in a central location to explore the lakes both near and far.

Outside there is roadside parking but this is allocated on a first come first served basis and to the rear, there is a shared courtyard with private lockable bike storage but only for three to four bikes dependant on bike size. From the front door you can step over the road and walk up Orrest head which is famed for being the spot of Wainwrights first fell he climbed and the place which secured his journey to writing as the view is so stunning. Back in Windermere enjoy the cafe society, craft ale pubs and speciality shops in Windermere or stroll to Bowness and sample the water activities such as Lakeland cruises to Ambleside or Newby bridge which give you stunning Lakeland views.

Highchair and travel cot are provided.

Honeysuckle cottage is cosy and is ideally situated for exploring the lakes yet has an array of amenities close to hand making it an ideal holiday choice year round.

NB The cottage is roadside and although double glazed you may experience some road noise.

NB As often with character cottages the stairs have a right turn and a little narrow with two bedrooms in the eves.

NB Although there is roadside parking outside the cottage on the opposite side of the road this is not allocated and is on a first come first served basis.
