The Sheep Pen is a fantastic completely renovated property located near the small hamlet of Crook. Situated only 5 miles from Bowness on Windemere and 3 miles from the market town of Kendal. Dog friendly and with a great local pub within 10 minutes walking distance. This is an ideal base to explore the Lake District National Park.
Entering the property you can instantly feel that it has been finished to a high standard. To the right up two steps is the modern contemporary bathroom with its double sized walk-in shower, large sink and heated mirror. The bathroom is tiled in granite with an oak floor which runs throughout the property.
Down the stairs (watch your head) as this is an old building the headroom to the lower area is quite low so you will need to be careful.
The downstairs is an open plan living room and a fully fitted equipped modern kitchen with oven, microwave, and hob. The room is completed by a large comfortable sofa, flat screen TV and Bluetooth speaker with a small dining table, a perfect room for relaxing after a days exploring. Underfloor heating runs below the entire ground floor, keeping you comfortable on the chilly winter days.
Just off the living area is the bedroom complete with a luxurious king size bed and plenty of storage space. (The bed can be split into two singles if this is required please state at the time of booking)
There is an abundance of natural light in the downstairs area, with windows giving views over the garden area and countryside beyond.
Outside there is a fully enclosed garden, with a private area designated for use of guests staying at The Sheep Pen, here you have a table and chairs which is a great spot for a morning coffee or indeed an evening glass of wine, taking in the views of the rolling countryside.

NB: The property is next to a road so some road noise may be experienced.
NB: There is a low ceiling on the stairs to the downstairs living area.
Great! Absolutely the best choice we can make in out trip, everything was excellent and wonderful.
It is a lovely property and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
Lovely Charming cottage based under the owners property. Garden is shared with owner, who was away when we stayed. Brand new cottage only finished this year and lovely furnishing and set up, very comfortable and clean A*. Good location for Windermere. Lots of dog walking around but easier to drive to a location and walk as the road has no paths and is extremely fast, it is not a fun walk to the pub esp with dogs as jumping into the verges is a bit more difficult.
Brand new cottage so everything was new.
