East Lakes

Picture paradise and you’re not too far from the Eastern Lake District, rolling green hills, sweeping valleys and cute Lakeland villages. Ullswater is the heart of this beautiful part of the National Park. A popular base to walk the official favourite walk of Britain, Helvellyn and a great location to enjoy watersports and boat cruises on the water.

Kentmere Reservoir, although a man-made body of water, looks as natural as any other lake. Located at the head of the Kentmere Valley, the reservoir provides an enjoyable day of walking and true escapism. Easily accessible from the south Lakeland village of Staveley, a drive or a cycle into Kentmere will leave you feeling relaxed and reset in a beautifully secluded area of the Lake District.

We’ve got some gorgeous self-catering holiday cottages in the East of the Lake District for you to browse and book below.
